Ramadan Activities Day # 2

RAMADAN BULLETIN BOARD
&
MORE

We started setting up our Ramadan Bulletin board today.....More things will be added but for now used some of the things from last year and ofcourse the Ramadan Activity Bags

Ramadan Chain

I asked Lil Maullim # 2 to help Lil Muallimah make the Ramadan chain. He said, "Can I have one too?" Now how can you say no to such a sweet request. So Lil Muallim # 2 made his chain all in one sitting Alhumdolillh, taking breaks to sing the Ramadan poem in his own made up tunes. :).

Next I taught Lil Muallimah how to make the chian she quickly got the hang of it and made it all by herslef with Lil Muallim # 2 and I helping her in aplying thee glue. She did the looping and sticking herself Mashallah!

Here are their chains hanging from the Ramadan poem. You can find the printable for the poem here..

If you are wondering what's in the green tub on the Ramadan activity Center. Look at the next activity.

Spell RAMADAN
Heres another simple activity they did with magnetic letters and Magnetic board. Lil Muallimah had a spelling card to help her.

Magnetic Shape Puzzle

I gave this activity as a challenge to my Lil Muallims. I just gave them the shapes on the magnetic tray and asked them to try and make something Islamic.

Lil maullima # 2 made this

And hem Lil muallimah copied and made this

I was very pleased to see that Lil Muallim then turned it into a sorting and organizing activity Mashallah!

Hadith: "Fasting is  a Shield"

We discussed that Rasulallah Sallalaho Alaihi Wasallam said "Fasting is a shield". Meaning that just like in war a shield protects a soldier from being hit by  a sword a fast protects  a fasting person from doing bad deeds as he is constantly thinking of Allah and doesn't want to spoil his fast or reduce his ajr. So as a reminder of that to stop ypur self from doing something wrong you can say
"As Siyamo Junnah!"

Lil Muallimah's Shield

These shields are actually an annual tradition in our home and My Lil Muallims love making them every year Alhumdolillah. Infact I got the idea when Lil Maullim # 1 one day made on with a popping out Islamic design and a handle out of construction paper all by himself.

In previous years they have made their own out of paper plates and aluminium foil with their own hand drawn sword or design stuck on them.

Lil muallim # 1 and Lil maullim # 2 had also made one as a cover for Fasting is a Shield booklet for our Ramadan lapbook 3 years ago.
For thsi they had very patiently stick tiny pieces of aluminium foil one  by one around the design. Mashallah!

DUA

I pray to Allah to help us continue this process of valuable learning throughout Ramadan Ameen
