Quran Recitation in Ramadan

READING AND UNDERSTANDING
THE WORDS OF ALLAH

Reading is fun
source: http://www.boston.com

Quran recitation is one of the most important things many of us try to concentrate upon, more diligently in Ramadan. This Ramadan I REALLY want to get more into the understanding too with my kids Inshallah. I hope to have everyone in the family yearning to know what Allah will say to us each day.......
SURAH LUQMAN IN RAMADAN

One thing we started out last year but could not continue was the wonderful idea of memorizing Surah Luqman in Ramadan from. Ramadan Planner is so wonderful Mashallah. The choice of Surah Luqman is so perfect. The wise guidance Luqman give to his son.....is a solid reminder of our purpose of life and duty as  a Muslim. I also want to to turn each days memorization into a tafseer..... reflect and contemplate lesson too Beidhnillah. I pray to Allah to grant us success in this endeavor this year Inshallah.

READING QURAN COVER TO COVER

Now this ones tricky as much as there is loads of blessings and rewards in reading Quran, but the value of understanding and contemplating cannot be undermined at all. With all the things we hope to do every Ramadan, this really should be on top of the list. I would love to know how others are planning to delve into this. I plan to read the tafseer of a juz a day starting from the sighting of the moon Beidhnillah for myself and discuss it with my Lil Muallims. Who knows a few arts and crafts projhect may stem out of that too :)

I hope to keep on track with my What Allah Told me Today Checklist for myself as part of our Ramadan Schedule.

For added motivation I loved the post QURAN CHALLENGE from Pearls of Jannah. Mashallah

TAJWEED REVIEW

Last but not the least I also hope to review tajweed rules with my Lil Muallims in short and sweet lessons every day with the help of my own flash cards, a bulletin board and the following:
