Ramadan Activities Day # 1

"I LOVE RAMADAN ACTIVITIES"

Says Lil Muallaim # 2 by the end of Ramadan day 1.... He also said......... "THIS IS SO EXCITING!!!! This is so cool? Where did you get that? Did you think of this yourself? Did you find this idea somewhere? Did you change the idea for us? So you are not really copying? How did you think of such things? Ramadan activities are so fun!" But I really think all the hype he was feeling was because of this statement................... "It's so fun doing things with you !"

That is the key to it all I think. Lately I have been very busy with guests in my house, trips (outside the country) and my health. Between all that I haven't been able to spend and do things with my kids the way I like to do. Alhumdoillah by the blessings of Allah with everything else slowing down in Ramadan I am trying to rekindle our fun and learn activities for my Lil Muallims. While we sit and do the activities together it gives us this candid chance to discuss so many related things Subhanallah!

Jazakallahu khairun to all the sisters with inspiring blogs loaded with  ideas Mashallah ad to Umm Suhailah for also pushing me into get back on track by announcing the Ramadan Arts and Craft Challenge. ( I am going to write RACC from now).

Ok enough chit chat here's what we have been doing...........

I LOVE RAMADAN

Lil Muallimah made this with me before Maghrib time. Moon sighting announcement was already made and I really wanted to get her to know that Ramadan was going to start VERY soon Alhumdolillah.

First I cut out the shapes from glitter foam stickers with colors she chose. Then I traced the positions on for her onto a blue card stock paper. Next I outlined the the shapes with paint to make it easy for Lil Muallima'h to paint.

Lastly we added the stickers...Oh and yes she particularly asked for  a pink masjid......... Taadaaa

Later on when Lil Muallim made his RACC entry Lil Muallimah added the Muslimah and more stars on hers too.......Mashallah

Ramadan Activity Bags

She very patiently painted all 30 bags Mashallah ! Then laer on when the dried she got take take out her first activity from Day 1:

These are cut outs for arabic letters spelling out Ramadan. It's like puzzle for Lil Muallimah. She has to match up the shapes to the spelling card.....

With very lil help she Mashallah made it and was very pleased with herself. Mashallah!

What I loved about this craft was that she can build and rebuild it again and again.

Lil Muallim # 2

Welcome Ramadan

This was made on the eve of 1st Ramadan when Abi was gone for Taraweeh... Alhumdolillah! That way it also made it's way to our 1st Suhoor gift setup.

Later on he added stars too

&
Ramadan Flags

He also made these Ramadan letters flags by pasting  the 'bubble letters' ummi cut out from an old flower themed calendar on white paper. Next he punched out hearts around the flags. Hearts for we LOVE Ramadan. Finally he hung them up with Lil Muallim # 1's help Mashallah !

This will be our Ramadan Art and Craft wall and Lil Muallims' favorite pieces will be displayed here Inshallah. This area can be seen as soon as come downstairs and I hope that it works as a cherishing reminder of the wonderful month of Ramadan. Inshallah

Update: Lil Muallim # 2 and Lil Muallimah were very pleased too see their first crafts on the wall. They cam downsatirs themslevees and exclained to each other .."Look our Ramadan pictures! Mama put them up!"

Walaikum assalam Ukhti,
Jazakallaho khairun for your kind words, but please don't say that.... all crafts done by kids are beautiful, you can't compare at all. It's really not how the crafts look rather the learning experience we share with our kids isn't it?
Barakallaho feekum
